About Me
Alyssa Walker
First, I want to thank you for taking time to learn about this ministry! I wanted to also share the short version of how it came about.

In my first year at Grand Canyon University, I got to be a part of a local outreach program that partnered with a rescue home for girls 11-17 who have come out of sex trafficking. After my second year serving there, God had me take it a step further which led to spending time one summer in Thailand, Cambodia, and the Philippines with counter-trafficking organizations. I came back to the US deeply inspired by the coffee shops they had there to support survivors. I began to wonder and pray about what it could look like to have a coffee shop in the US that supports survivors.

After getting my degree in Hospitality Management, I moved to Charlotte, NC to intern with a church. That internship led to an opportunity to work with Charlotte Rescue Mission as they launched a coffee shop to support their drug and alcohol recovery program. Two years later, God opened a door for me to work with A21, the global leader in counter-trafficking work, as a Care Worker and then Freedom Center Coordinator. After three beautiful years working directly with survivors and learning from the incredible leaders at A21 locally and globally, God reminded me of the coffee shop vision.

Praying into that led me to move back to Phoenix, AZ. When I moved, I stepped into a leadership role at Starbucks as a stepping stone until I was ready to start building this vision full time. That brings us to where we are now!

This cafe is a purpose-filled intersection between what I've always loved and been passionate about - heartfelt, next-level hospitality - and the passion God placed on my heart and entrusted me to steward - the ministry of restoration and transformation. I am excited and expectant for how God will show up in extraordinary ways as His people come together to shine His light in some really dark areas of our world.
